Coward and Black Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was fermented in stainless steel open fermenters following a two day cold soak. The wine completed full malo lactic (secondary fermentation) before maturation in 10 new (one - third) and 20 seasoned (two - thirds) French oak barriques for twelve months. Black - red in colour supported by good weight and a bouquet of eucalyptus, briary black fruits and a lifted mint character. A sweet mid palate with herbal complexity is supported by linear tannins and a lingering finish. Cellar for 10 years or more.
